There are courses now available through CSAO. One is the Construction Health and Safety Representative. This course is available in three parts, the first from January 11-15th, the second part from January 25-29th, and the third part from Feb. 16-18th. These are full day courses from 8:30AM-4:30PM. If anyone is interested please contact me at the office for availability, and registration.
There will also be an asbestos awareness course available in early February. This will be a 4 hour course held here at the union office. This course would be recommended for apprentices, but also available for journeymen if wanted.

In August of this year, a welder died on an LNG construction site. This event raised a number of very important safety issues for our members.
