Did you know your UA membership might save you money on your home and auto insurance?
As a member of the UA Local 628, you can take advantage of group rates for your Home & Auto Insurance through Thunder Bay Insurance’s UA628 Group Program.
Group Insurance programs are registered programs that are offered as a result of peer-to-peer efforts and the desire of your employer to cultivate this opportunity on your behalf. Eligible clients save 30% off regular auto insurance rates and 20% off regular home insurance rates. In addition to the benefit of reduced rates through Northbridge Insurance you will have access to lower water damage deductible and higher limits of coverage for jewelry, bicycles and trailers.
Call Mary Lynn Douglas, Regional Manager / Group Insurance for Thunder Bay Insurance to find out more information about the discounts and benefits you are entitled to as a group member.

Welcome to the new website for the UA Local 628. This is a resource to learn about our local, its history and the kind of work we do. It’s also a place where we’ll be posting news and information for and about our members.
Potential members can find out about our apprenticeship programs and employers can learn about what our members’ skills, work ethic and expertise can bring to a worksite.
The most prominent part of this site is this blog. We’re calling it “What’s Happenin’,” because that is what it’s about. We’ll write about union events, courses, and things like changes to collective agreements and benefits. We’d also like to post news about our members too. Read more…
